During the summer of 2010 I conducted a successful field program which consisted of 12 weeks of 1:10,000 scale mapping in the sub-alpine mountains of southwestern Yukon. This detailed mapping resulted in the definition of a stratigraphic succesion of metasedimentary rocks of the western Yukon-Tanana terrane in the Tincup Lake area. Four phases of Permian to Cretaceous folding and two phases of Cretaceous or younger brittle faulting were also identified. Prior to this work no correlation had been made between assemblages of western and eastern Yukon-Tanana terrane. This work has also contributed significantly to our understanding of deformation of the western margin of the Yukon-Tanana terrane by constraining the timing of deformation; identifying pre-, syn- and post-accreationary deformation.

Assisted in regional mapping of southwest Yukon in the Stevenson Ridge (115J) and Kluane Lake (115G) map areas. Mapping consisted of identifying polydeformed metasedimentary and metavolcanic units, integration of daily observations with regional observations, collection and organization of both representative samples and geochronology samples. I also maintained the digital geo-database for the program over its six-week duration. Assisted in regional mapping of southwest Yukon in the Stevenson Ridge (115J) and Kluane Lake (115G) map areas. Undergraduate degree in Earth Sciences, Honours, with a minor in GIS. Honours thesis looked at a brittle fault zone in the Grenville Province, Eastern Ontario, to determine if the fault was a reverse-sense mylonitic shear zone reactivated as a normal-sense brittle fault during extension.
