SEEN (Student Empowerment and Equality Network) is a network of schools creating Gender and Sexuality Alliances and safe spaces in the learning environment. SEEN is mostly student run with support of teachers and counselors in their respective schools. As a network, we aim to improve the educational environment and system to benefit students regardless of their sexuality, gender identity and gender expression. In a system where students who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, and Questioning (LGBTIQ+) are often bullied, mistreated, discriminated against, and left behind, we aim to empower them and educate allies to do the same.
