Philip has been supporting quite a few of my students, always with an open mind and a gentle yet structured approach. He is a wonderful colleague, who combines long-time experience and excellent skills with a good eye for socio-emotional and structural processes that concern both students and staff. He has been instrumental in setting up the integration team and the by now irreplacable ‘Oasis’ at NMS. Philip is an excellent teamplayer who fulfills a critical role in the continuously growing team of specialists. Students, parents and colleagues alike have been grateful for his valuable expertise, interest and kindness.

I’ve worked with Philip for nearly six years now. He was a founder member of the Educational and Emotional Support Team at our school and and has been key to creating the support structure that we have now. His leadership and collaborative skills make him a perfect team builder. Philip shows the same interest, openness, respect and patience to students, parents and pedagogical staff alike. He has a wide range of strategies for children who need organisational, concentration, social or self-regulation support, and he shares willingly. He is warmly welcomed into every classroom and is universally loved by the children that he works with. On a structural level, Philip has worked steadily to advocate for and improve diversity and inclusion in the school and to promote systemic changes that would bring long-term improvements to the school. It’s a pleasure to work with Philip both on a professional and on a personal level.
