Stepped in to manage a team of five developers while also staying very hands-on. The team was mostly working with Go (backend) and C++ (agent). I've established from scratch the team's working methodologies including source control, peer reviews, project management and CI pipeline. I'm opinionated on many subjects, but love to discuss and constantly hear new ideas. I was very lucky to have teammates that I could learn a lot from. I enjoy impacting the office environment to be better and more fun for everyone. During my time with the company, I also: - Built from scratch its Kubernetes-based backend platform, written in Go - Deployed said backend in production on AWS (with EKS) - Represented the company in Amsterdam, talking to prospective customers about our product Show less

I was the first member to join the Platform team, led by the company's Technical Director. I worked end-to-end (from design through implementation, testing and integration) on a dockerized, microservice-based management platform for our product, written in Python and Go with a focus on async programming (achieved in Python with the Twisted framework). Wrote large, critical modules in the system like authentication, authorization and service discovery. Here are some other things I also did during that time: - On-boarded and mentored most people who have joined the team after me - Initiated and led team efforts to write internal tooling that made our lives easier - Worked on an open-source high-performance, Kubernetes based serverless project written in Go - Won 1st place at an internal company hackathon - Represented the company at a large tech convention Show less
