The department of entertainment and culture of Grupo Nación has four main products: Revista Dominical, Viva, Áncora and Teleguía, as their photo editor and coordinator of photography I participated of editorial meetings with copy editors, also attended topic meetings with journalist, within both meetings we decided what was going to be published, under what approach in the reporting and photography areas. After that, I analyzed who was the right photographer for the assignation and guided her or him to reach the results that the editorial team had decided. Then, when the photographer returned to the newsroom, I received the photo material and created stories according to editorial approach, picking the pictures that where going to be published, choosing spaces and hierarchies with the designers on the put-on page to the print edition and uploading and arranging the selected material for the web one. I volunteered at the Museum because I wanted to be closer to all the art and cultural production happening in San José, also because I heard that they were needing help organizing their collection and art database. Roberto Guerrero is a Costa Rican artist who was at the time producing his solo show "Vergüenza Ajena", it took place at the MADC, and won the Francisco Amighetti National prize of arts in the category other at 2015. Roberto hired me to help him with production issues. I searched for materials providers, and workforce, also pre-produced and produced most of the photoshoots that gave birth to wonderful art pieces. Project HOPE, is a NGO that focuses on promoting environmental and cultural stories into pictures. I went on short tours to valuable sites in Costa Rica, such as Yorkin, an indigenous community located in Talamanca, and Sarchí searching for human stories to photograph. I began the internship as a photographer, but after the first tour they ask me to write and report what I was discovering with my camera, so I did and enjoyed the extra work. The workflow included producing the tour, photographing and writing stories, editing and retouching pictures and finally making presentations to NGO benefactors about the results gotten from tours. As a Fototec assistant, I was held for the maintenance of equipment that the office borrowed to students. I assisted teachers in their classes, trained people on how to use audiovisual equipment, helped teachers and students on renting spaces, took care of the inventory of the office and documented university activities such as talks, exhibitions, plus student reunions.
