Morten and I worked together on two IT sourcing projects, where Morten was my project manager. Morten is extremely knowledgeable in his field, and a creative systems thinker that loves to learn new things. I believe this is what drives his ability to always deliver excellent quality on time, and develop better ways of working. He is also excellent at building relationships. He demonstrated this in both projects we worked on together. As a PM and leader, Morten always takes the time to listen and share his extensive knowledge and experience. He also values the input of team members, and he is a fantastic sparring partner. I have learnt a lot from working with him, and I consider him a close mentor.

Morten was the Program Lead in setting up a new production facility within the pharmaceutical industry. I was reporting to Morten in my role as IT Project & Migration manager. When fully scaled the facility will deliver medicines to 30.000 patients in Nursing Homes, Home Care Service, and to private clients. The program was complex with several dependencies to subprograms that were required to be completed in sequence or in parallel; e.g. the readiness of production facility & machinery, the required IT applications & infrastructure, migration of patients, several agreements, required training, communication with stakeholders, obtaining manufacturing authorization, etc. Morten managed this program and all the complex dependencies to be resolved in a way that truly impressed me. In particular, I observed how Morten demonstrated two very distinct strengths; Leadership and Communication! Getting so many teams to move coordinated towards the same goal and in the same direction was performed with brilliance. Communicating complicated relationships and complex activities into easily understandable and executable plans is also distinct and very easy to spot strength. I would enjoy an opportunity to work with Morten again.

Engagements:Engaged by a subsidiary of a global manufacturer within the building and construction industry to manage an IT modernisation initiative. The role included responsibility to set up and move assets from on-prem to private cloud. It also included execution of cyber security assessment of all service providers. Brought in by one of the largest players within the fish farming industry in Norway to compose the foundation for its transformation to a modern digital architecture. Used its corporate strategy to design the transformation strategy and roadmap for implementation.

Engagements: Worked with Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) in finding their next IT service partner. The work included RFI, RFP, selection, negotiation, and recommendation, the latter based on a total cost of ownership (TCO) approach. Engaged by Elkjøp Nordic IT to find IT service providers for SAP Basis Administration and Cloud Management & Operations. The work included market scan, RFP, selection, first round of negotiations and recommendation, using personal developed methods and techniques based on the TCO concept. Brought in by NMD to take over and fix a critical strategic 80m NOK programme involving setting up a new automated packaging facility for pre-packing patient prescriptions. Managed all related projects including finalising plant set up and integration of new software in the existing, SAP based, technology stack. Also led the negotiation process with the main hardware and software supplier.Hired to execute a supply chain optimisation initiative for NorgesGruppen/Asko Storhusholding and two of its largest customer groups. Outlined and brought the parties together to agree on and embed the approach for +10 cost-saving initiatives within their respective organisations.Delivered a three-year crisis management programme for Aera Payment & Identification. Built the company’s crisis management processes up from scratch, and coached leaders and executives in crisis management through 12 crisis training processes. Coached super users and line operators in Lean Manufacturing for Goman Jæren, a subsidiary of Coop Industry Norway. Developed an approach that retrained operators to take onboard and embed Lean and Six Sigma principles in operating a new, highly automated packaging line. The bakery has achieved remarkable results from this packaging line and continues to deliver well above expectations.

Defined required approach to master data management and data governance while piloting an EY developed technology for supply chain forecasting. Key role in the programme management team for the supply chain transformation programme at Coca Cola Hellenic. Led the projects for demand and supply chain planning and manufacturing. Built the business case, manager roles and performance metrics for both functions, and identified costs savings for planning, manufacturing, and spare part management. Achieved a 9 out of 10 score in overall performance by the client, especially highlighting the ability to perform under pressure, stakeholder management and communications skills. Was given the responsibility to programme manage Diageo’s global S&OP transformation programme. Developed all organisational aspects as well as designing S&OP processes and S&OP metrics. Coached more than 100 managers across most continents in S&OP execution.
