Bio
Mack Ward
Jim is one of the brightest young individuals I have had the privilege of interacting with. He excels in the areas of computer science and mathematics, and is extremely attentive to detail. Believe it or not, he implemented file syscalls for our OS project in a single try, without debugging them once - just for fun! And despite constantly earning the top (if not a perfect) score in his classes, he's extremely humble and always willing to learn something new. Without a doubt, he would be an invaluable addition to any company or university.

Heavily contributed to the Standard DataFeeds (SDF) engine, which gathers data from disparate sources across FactSet and re-packages and publishes it in a uniform manner for convenient client consumption. As part of this process, the data sent to clients is stored in a multi-TB SQL Server database containing the history of all changes to the data over time.Contributed to the DataFeed Loader, a client-side application which connects to FactSet and downloads the data feeds that the client subscribes to, sets up a relational database for the client, and loads the data feeds into that database.Contributed to Data Exploration, a product giving clients access to their own private cloud environments with a database pre-loaded and automatically updated with the latest SDF data.Implemented multiple APIs, both client-facing and internal, using Python and Flask.
