      I worked on a DST Funded project (collaboration with IIT Ropar) entitled, "To design a Closed Loop control system for automatic Blood Pressure Control". The project involved the design and development of an automatic drug delivery system which can deliver the Vasoactive drugs and Inotropes during the surgery. The syringe pump for drug delivery was interfaced with the Laptop and also the vital sign monitor has to be interfaced with the computer to get the control variables like Mean Arterial Pressures, Pulmonary Arterial pressures, Cardiac Output, etc. The interfacing of the devices is being done through RS232 Serial communication. The successful implementation of this automatic drug delivery system would off load the anaesthesiologists and enable them to concentrate on other critical clinical events in the surgery. Show less
