      Served as the spearhead designing a business plan to address energy poverty and implemented this program in Haiti. I created and managed a non-profit and for-profit entity with 50 employees and developed Best Practices and standardized Policies and Procedures for the business entity. Additionally, I helmed the marketing, website design and fundraising processes which attracted donors and over $1.5M in funding. Connected with key stakeholders and funders to help deliver electricity to more than 10,000 people in rural areas on Haiti and conceptualized a holistic design including infographics to benefit our non-literate customers. I took lead in streamlining the grants process from USAID and the United States. Recipient of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Jefferson Award for public service; the nations’ highest award for service by an individual.I diligently promoted program in Haiti at the government level presenting to the President and supported by the Minister of Energy in Haiti. I was requested as public speaker at events including TedX Port au Prince; IEEE’s humanitarian conferences in Johannesburg, South Africa and Vancouver, Canada; NRECA conference, San Francisco; the Jefferson Awards ceremonies in both San Francisco and Washington, D.C. and many Bay Area events.

      Sirona Haiti, S.A. was formed to bring energy to those at the bottom of the pyramid through a sustainable business model. We assemble and deploy 1.5Kw solar charging stations which provide power to 100 homes per unit. Today we have 14 solar stations and the ability to serve 1400 homes. We are currently adding an additional 3100 homes through a grant from the United Nations Environmental Program. By 2015 we will be serving 4,500 homes and bringing light to 22,500 people.Ti Soley charging units are available for order.
