The amount of work he has accomplished (starting 4 new hospitals from scratch) with a completely volunteer run outfit is tremendous. Sankara Eye Foundation (SEF) provides free eye surgeries to the visually handicapped poor in the developing countries like India. The Goal is to eradicate curable blindness by the year 2020 - Vision 20/20 by 2020. SECI, our partner in India, has received highest honors and was awarded the India NGO Awards for community eye care. SECI was also a winner of the Diabetic Retinopathy Project Award from The Asian Hospital Management Awards. SEF, USA has received the Four Star award from Charity Navigator. My responsibility is to scale this organization to the next level and get closer to Vision 20/20 by 2020 every day. Show less
