Research Assistant (Prof. Jeffrey Hubbell)

• Engineered a cell binding chicken pox virus by attaching the known gE antigen to proteins targeting the membranes of cells. • Designed and executed experiments to test GPI, caveolin, and Vibrio cholerae's affinity for embedding in the cell's cellular membrane. • Filtered relevant information and sorted through 26 melanoma cancer patients treated with anti-PD1 medication's genomes. • Analyzed and compiled data using qualitative image staining and quantitative methods to draw conclusions about the correlation between mutations located on the membrane of the cancer cell and response to anti-PD1 treatment. • Used R's tidyverse package to identify and record all the gene mutations and presented data/conclusions to the lab team in a PowerPoint presentation.

• Completed an abstract and sections for the paper entitled "The involvement of Adenocarcinoma derived exosomes in Cancer Associated Fibroblast genotype induction of Human Lung Fibroblasts" • Identified genes involved in the smooth muscle myogenesis by investigating a particular exome and its role in disease progression. • Maintained a thorough scientific logbook of procedures and advancements. • Attended weekly metings with the head of the lab to discuss progress, timeline, and future goals.
