Great products start from great teams. And what makes a great team is a culture, So I started with building a culture within the team based on the company's core values that will lead us towards our big objectives. Typical product manager's responsibilities are supposed to be focused on the product only, But Qurba is a small startup and I'm acting as a managing director beside my product-focused responsibilities. I'm responsible for hiring talents and potential stars through a hiring process that depends mainly on the candidate's cultural fit beside his/her technical competencies. We are working continuously on pushing the team's performance average score to higher level by measuring every productivity driver that can be measured and tracked. I analyze the scores and the root causes that impact these scores and I'm continuously coaching the team and providing a proper training to enhance each of their KPIs' scores monthly. I made simplified processes and policies and systematized the team's activities. I'm working closely with the business team and our UX designer to make our decisions data-driven based on user behavior and market research. I have enhanced the way we are getting requirements by making structured customer interviews covering different user segments. I'm managing our products' backlog and feature stories and letting our quality team to be involved in every product development phase either by doing static testing and validating the requirements and making flowcharts and use case diagrams to help the development team which in turn will decrease the rework percentage by decreasing bug rate by user story. We also starting automating our quality processes from API automation testing to UI automation testing in our Web and Mobile apps. I'm fond of data analytics. I started applying product analytics by using google analytics tool and customized tools built by our team.
