Super Secret Arts sought to make the performing arts financially more equitable and sustainable through an innovative, all-you-can-attend membership model. Ultimately closed due to two COVID waves. Responsibilities: creating concept, securing seed funding, programming and season planning, facilities construction, procurement, negotiation, and management, strategic planning, website design, budgeting and financial management, production, contracting, vendor negotiation, and human resources. Supervised administrative staff of 5 and part-time staff of 20. Achievements: Built a fully-outfitted, two stage theater venue entirely from scratch. Built a membership base of 500 people. Platformed over 150 emerging artists, and paid them all for their work. Received significant press coverage in outlets including American Theater and WNYC. Programmed an exciting interdisciplinary calendar including an AAPI dance residency, a New York Times critic pick theatrical experience set in Central Park, a cabaret series based around astrology, the Secret’s Out Pride Festival, and the premiere of a play with music that platformed the writing of a talented performer for the first time in her career.
