Finite Element Analysis of the following projects using CSI Bridge (SAP2000): - Signature Bridge Approaches to be built in Chicago, IL. - Abutments with accordance to AASHTO and IDOT codes. - Pier Bents with accordance to AASHTO and IDOT codes. - Culverts (with 1200 different parameters) to update the IDOT culvert manual. - Manholes (with 20 different parameters) to update IDOT manual. -Tollway Sign Structure, this project included the monotube structures as frame elements but the signs and the antennas as finite elements for easier load application. Created Macros using Excel 2010 for the following purposes: - Calculating the moment, shear, and embed depth of a drilled shaft / soldier pile by applying active and passive pressures on the pile. - Calculating the different thicknesses required for the culvert models due to all of the 1200 parameters. - Aid in extracting all the necessary data from SAP2000 after exporting from SAP2000. Other Miscellaneous projects consisted of: - Bridge Inspection of Top of Deck, Underside of Deck, Superstructure, and Substructure elements. - Aiding in the redesign and reconfiguration of an existing house to be ADA approved for a child with special needs. AutoCAD was used to present the client with all the necessary changes. - Check of different Shop Drawings to be consistent with design and architecture drawings. - Check of connection designs for different projects.
