Heather is an experienced educator and educational consultant. She leads our Meucci and Company team as the Microsoft Imagine Academy Lead Trainer and Project Manager. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with her on a wide variety of projects including training development, curriculum design and development, and delivery of in-person and virtual trainings. Heather is a self-starter and has designed and developed curriculum on a wide variety of Microsoft Technologies and topics including Microsoft Data Science, MakeCode Arcade, Access 2019 Expert, PowerPoint 2019, and Word 2019 Expert, to name a few. She has conducted worldwide trainings both in-person and virtually on a variety of topics. Some of her most recent trainings include Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Microsoft 365, Windows 10 Accessibility Features, Surface Integration, and Educational Apps. Her depth and breadth of knowledge never ceases to amaze those that have worked alongside her. Heather is a life-long learner as she consistently seeks to stay abreast of new and emerging technologies. When it comes to professional development, she leads the charge setting an example for the Meucci and Company team.

I've worked with Heather for a number of years. She was always my first choice for a trainer to train our education customers. She works well with teachers, administrators and decision makers. She has a very strong proficiency in coding and can help teachers master this for their classroom. If you have a need in your district/state I highly recommend reaching out to Heather.

As a Senior Education Consultant with Meucci and Company, I complete numerous projects and hold different roles depending on the project and customer needs. My versatility and expertise position me to be a vital member of the Meucci Team as a project manager, strategic planner, instructional designer, curriculum developer, and training specialist. I have had opportunities to strategically plan and manage projects with various customers such as Microsoft Worldwide Learning, Defense Acquisition University, American Baccalaureate School, Idaho State Department of Education, and Cheyenne Public Schools. While the project's specifics vary, my team delivered each project within budget, scope, and delivery dates. I design training and skilling materials to deploy Microsoft Fundamentals certifications, Microsoft Learn, and Microsoft Learn for Educators resources in K12 and higher education. I designed and developed course curriculums for the Microsoft Imagine Academy. These courses included various materials, including syllabus, pacing guides, evaluation criteria, implementation strategies, supplemental resources, and instructor training materials for a global market. I plan, design, and deliver in-person and virtual training worldwide to trainers and end-users. I work directly with customers to understand and adapt training to meet their particular needs and audience, analyzing data throughout sessions to provide the most successful training experience and outcomes possible for attendees. I regularly present at conferences such as the International Society for Technology in Education, Microsoft E2 Educator, Southern Business Education Association, and Idaho Career and Technical Education Professional Development Conferences. This position allowed me to build my skills as an exceptional classroom teacher, mentor, professional development facilitator, instructional designer, and curriculum development expert. In the classroom, I worked with various students, including gifted, special needs, autistic, deaf and hard- of-hearing, low-income, and military families. Since I worked with a wide range of students, it was essential to identify individual needs and adjust my approach to their educational, social, and emotional needs. Offering students after-school activities improves academic achievement and is proven to assist in emotional stability and overall happiness. My school needed a field hockey coach, dance team leader, and Future Business Leaders of America advisor, and I ecstatically stepped up the fulfill those needs. These opportunities were as beneficial for the students as they were for me. I enjoyed leading them to explore new interests and build relationships deeper than possible in the classroom setting. As I grew as a teacher and gained expertise in my skill set, I began stepping up as a leader for my peers within the city and the state. I collaborated with other professionals on textbook adoption committees, instructional design and curriculum development projects. I also shared my knowledge by planning and conducting professional development sessions in my school, city, and state. As a veteran teacher, I mentored other teachers entering the field by working with them as they completed their educational requirements. Show less

As I finished my education and transitioned out of the Air Force, I was in search of a profession that supported my family's needs, gave me satisfaction, and challenged my skills. Baltimore City Public Schools had a shortage of teachers and offered a career switchers program to get professionals into the classroom. This opportunity was just what I was looking for, a schedule great for my family's needs and the ability to give back to a community in need. I was introduced to the teaching profession and spent my first year in a low-income community and my second year with troubled youth in an alternative education setting. To say this was a growth opportunity for me is an understatement. While neither of these settings is easy, it was tough as a new teacher, but I knew I found my calling. Show less

The Air Force was the beginning of my adult life. This experience made me grow as a person and a professional. I was able to gain not only job-specific skills but also positive personality traits. I served as a Parachute and Fabrication Specialist. I inspected and repaired life-saving aircraft equipment including ejection seats, parachutes, rafts, and life preservers. As I progressed through the ranks, my responsibilities also grew. As a section leader, I coordinated work assignments, evaluated performance, and enforced disciplinary action for subordinates. My efforts and leadership did not go unnoticed when a special detail position opened. The Squadron commander identified me to fill that need. I conducted training on proper handling, storage, and disposal of classified information in this squadron-level position. Show less
