I had the privilege of working with David for several years during which I often turned to him for guidance and support. During those years David effectively met the toughest leadership challenges of his job. He demonstrated strong knowledge over a wide range of job responsibilities, and always maintained high standards of professional behavior. His ability to manage resources to help achieve competitive advantages was key to the success of our company.

I was fortunate to meet David at the very beginning of my HR career, when he was leading the HR team at Humana Hospital Audubon, and I was working as a management trainee at Humana Hospital Suburban. At that time, what I observed was a leader with a very even disposition, who didn't seem to get ruffled by stress, of which there was plenty to go around, and who was equally friendly to me as he was to the higher level HR leaders within the company who were his peers. Many years later, I had the opportunity to reconnect with him at Humana Military Healthcare Services, where he was the Chief Human Resources Officer. He had helped grow what was to become Humana's government division from a start-up to a large, successful organization, but despite his successes and increased stature within the company, he was basically the same guy ... humble demeanor, even-keeled, approachable. David has a mix of both strategic and tactical experience that would be valuable to any organization. He literally helped put policies and procedures in place for Humana Military Healthcare Services when it was just a start-up, and later helped to put together multi-million dollar federal contract proposals and lead their implementation once the contracts had been awarded. I'd recommend him to any organization that's in need of a solid human resources leader.
