As Interim Christian Education Coordinator I am responsible for the deepening of Christian faith for congregants of all ages. This includes overseeing the Children and Youth Deepening Team, Adult Deepening Team, Confirmation, and Nursery Ministry. I also assist weekly in leading worship and respond to pastoral care and counseling needs.

My responsibilities include assisting to plan and lead weekly worship services, attend weekly staff meetings, curate Advent and Lenten mid-week worship series, occassionally provide a "Time with Children" during Sunday services, work with youth programs and church school, and preach twice a semester.

Summer Pastoral Associate

At the end of my year as seminarian at United Parish in Brookline, I was offered the opportunity to work at the church full time as the Summer Pastoral Associate. In this capacity, I was responsible for three main areas of growth, development, and continued vitality in the church. The first area was Worship in which I planned weekly services with the senior pastor and minister of music, preaching every other week, and assisting to lead worship services each Sunday, occasionally solo. The second area was Christian education and formation in which I was responsible for the nursery ministry, weekly children's activities, adult deepening opportunities, and prepping for the start of Church School in the fall. The third and final area was in pastoral care and counseling in which I tended to the needs of the congregants through phone calls, home and hospital visits, hand-written cards, and correspondence with the Hearts and Hands ministry team that provides care to congregants in need.
