Project Manager overseeing large-scale Engineering, Procurement, and Construction project lifecycles through development, construction, commissioning, and turnover to Operations. Working closely and advising the management team on key project details, my priority was to assist in due diligence on potential project acquisitions, define EPC scopes of work for projects nearing construction, and plan and track progress on active construction projects. I was hired by Philadelphia’s Waste Management Services to helm the start-up of its $33MM SpecFUEL Plant. As the Plant Manager, my priority was to effectively manage the planning and commencement of the plant from the ground up. This meant building the plant from scratch—directing strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus. Duties included but were not limited to: managing budgets and resources, building and training the team, implementing procedures, policies, and environmental and regulatory compliance programs, establishing performance metrics, supervising the operations and maintenance, producing reports and documents, etc. Select accomplishments: •Identified and secured new end users, resulting in a 300% increase in SpecFUEL demand and production. •Acknowledged production bottleneck at the back-end of process and successfully managed the project to design and install $2.5MM Pilot Plant inside the existing facility, meeting SpecFUEL demand from end-users

Regional Manager

DCO is one of the largest generators of cogeneration and renewable energy projects in the Northeast. As the Regional Manager at DCO, my focus was on managing the startup and operation of two Landfill Gas to Energy Plants, effectively leading all operations across the region. Select accomplishments: •Developed and wrote operating procedures for existing plants, enabling junior personnel to operate plants and respond to forced outages with minimal outside supervision or assistance. •Analyzed and determined the root cause of failure of the gas treatment system, coordinating emergency procurement and construction of replacement parts, expediting repairs, and putting procedures in place to prevent recurrences.

Lead on project to evaluate internal production facility. Completed evaluation and presented to the CEO a plan to downsize the production facility and work with external vendors to produce direct mail more efficiently. The plan was implemented substantially reducing production costs. The use of outside production resources also enabled Summit to offer a wider variety of packages to clients. Reorganized and streamlined production processes which resulted in eliminating need to expedite freight and saving the company in excess of $90,000 annually. Identified and negotiated with vendors to reduce cost of services resulting in increased margins for Summit and winback of clients that had previously left due to price considerations. Member of Executive Team that manages Kansas City division of Summit Marketing. As member of this team, responsible for all procurement, pricing and production.

Responsible for all production scheduling, production, inventory management and shipping and receiving. Led team in start up of new plant, producing over 1.4 million packages weekly. Was senior company representative on site and acted as plant manager. Arranged production schedule to allow combining of outbound trucks, thereby reducing number of outbound trucks and saving GMA in excess of $30,000 on an annual basis. Researched and identified alternate carrier for mail products saving the company over $40,000 annually.

Ensured that all electrical division maintenance was performed to support the ship's commitments. Coordinated with the Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA) to plan and affect all repairs and maintenance to electrical division equipment that could not be performed by ship's personnel. Prepared all work orders and provided drawings, schematics, and all relative documents to the IMA, so that they could perform the maintenance/repairs as scheduled. Resulted in Electrical Division being fully ready to support the ship's schedule. Managed the Engineering Department Training on the USS Greenling. Revised the training curriculum and developed a program to upgrade individual training deficiencies. Coordinated the separate division's curriculums with the Engineering department curriculum to reduce redundancy but stress the particular division's specialties. Delivered training and prepared challenging examinations. Enhanced the level of knowledge of the department and contributed to improved department evaluation for training and knowledge from average to above average.
