Bio
Robert Altchiler
Joe worked for me remotely this summer as a research assistant. I brought him on after he told me he had an interest in exploring a career in the law. I’ve known him since he was born, but we created this working arrangement out of a need I had and an interest of his to work as lawyers do. I told him I wanted him to conduct legal research into constitutional issues related to search and seizure, and asked him to begin by listening to oral arguments at SCOTUS and reading SCOTUS opinions. Reading a SCOTUS opinion and understanding it isn’t the easiest thing in the world for a high school kid. Then Joe had to conduct legal research on his own on various Fourth Amendment issues. I found his work excellent and his presentation of issues to me clear and easy to digest. He is quite intelligent, mature, responsible and reliable. If he tells you he is going to get something done, he does. Simply put, Joe impressed the hell out of me, eagerly working while he was also attending to other responsibilities. He is definitely going to be wildly successful because of the traits he exhibited to me and others I’ve learned over the years he possesses that are also critical to immense success. I’m referring to him being great under pressure, which manifested itself during his sports performances. Joe has always wanted the ball in his hands with the game on the line. The kid loves pressure. I have no doubt he will be incredible at whatever career he chooses.
