As a Curriculum Manager and Writer with Empowerment Through Integration, Inc I worked with Anna Barbosa in curriculum development designing lessons that supported the study habits of a mind to further learning with engagement, persistence, envision, expression, observation, exploration, storytelling, and empathy. With empathy Anna acknowledges the importance of caring connections and therefore practices a commitment to support the inclusion and well-being of all regardless of race, gender, income, citizenship, or background; furthermore, to create an individual’s positive sense of identity and place. Anna’s experience with international and local training understands the importance of collaboration which influences the impacts of positive change in communities around the world. Using educational models and experiential learning she developed curriculum with emphasis in empowerment, responsibility, and interpersonal relationships guided through activity, processing, and reflection. Through our conversations and leading with hope Anna transformed words into actions being the positive difference in the lives of many.

Anna is the most authentic and hardworking person I have ever met. She cares so much for people and works around the clock. Whenever I try to guess what Anna is doing at any given moment, it is usually working. While this sounds funny, it clearly works to the benefit of everyone around her. I have never seen anyone persevere through challenges and come up with incredibly creative solutions like Anna has. I was constantly in awe of her ability to hold an objective perspective while juggling several factors that would be contributing into any major decision. The way she communicates to her team with such transparency and compassion makes it very easy to do the same with her. She is intuitive, caring, open, and, warm. I continue to admire Anna for the capacity she has to produce quality work; as well as the space she holds for everyone around her. She is absolutely an asset to any company and a gem to connect with on a professional or personal level.
