Over the years I've been constantly impressed with her ability to tackle challenges, identify opportunities, and to get it done. From driving legislation in Sacramento to organizing dozens of small business serving organizations across the state, Heidi is smart, talented, fun to work with, and can always be counted on to make it happen.

Successfully organized and led a diverse coalition that passed the nation’s first truth-in-lending bill for small business. My policy work as an advocate and as a writer has brought attention to local entrepreneurial ecosystems (see paper below) in economic development. Responsible for all aspects of the organization’s capacity building programs from idea generation, content development, logistics, execution, and evaluation with an eye to income generation. In 2019 programming included: a monthly webinar series, 8 regional and 2 statewide events, 4 in-person trainings, and 3 peer cohorts, most of which have exceeded their goals and gained a national audience. An increased demand for our services because of COVID-19 has more than doubled the amount of programming that we've done since March. Doubled organization’s earned income through partnerships and program excellence. Strategize on and write program-related sections of government and corporate grants. Ensure funded deliverables are executed successfully. Contribute to grant reporting. Responsible for member engagement and have increased membership by more than 10 percent. Manages the programming, communications, and advocacy teams to ensure the success of the organization. Show less
