Sarah is a high skilled and hard working team member. Her and I worked on a several projects at Symantec including the fledgling Appliance Hardware team and her expert knowledge on hardware and storage systems proved invaluable to the project's success. Her professionalism, knowledge and team player ethic will be an asset to any company fortunate to call her an employee.

Sarah is a brilliant engineer with a real basis and love of the hardware she deals with. She made the move into the software side of things, but her love and understanding has made her an expert in the NetBackup hardware Appliances. She now raises escalations to Engineering for the hardware side of her job. Sarah is always there with a smile and a greeting. She is willing to help those around her, whether customers or colleagues. She has a great, outgoing personality and is highly respected by both her peers and her customers. Sarah would be an asset to any team she was a member of.

As a member of the Automation & Service Reliability team at UKCloud I worked as part of a moderately-sized team of highly skilled engineers, with backgrounds in system administration, software engineering and systems automation. Utilising various technologies commonplace in the industry we managed infrastructure as code, using an internal git code store using Rundeck and Jenkins to automate the processes. Due to a confidentiality agreement I am bound by, I am unable to share further details about my main role within UKCloud. My main role within the company was augmented by being a member of the company's Mental Health First Aid team, which saw me assisting my colleagues with any mental health issues they faced. In 2019 I lead a team of my colleagues running a two-day event at local secondary schools, introducing them to the world of white-hat hacking (we couldn't use the term "penetration testing" in a school environment), using a sandboxed environment in which they were instructed to infiltrate a Linux VM. Mainly focused on building, deploying and testing OpenStack. Also involved with networking (Cisco Nexus/Catalyst), storage (EMC Unity) and servers (Dell, HPe, Supermicro), MDM (Jamf/Kaseya), day-to-day Ops stuff (CentOS/Ubuntu/Windows/macOS/Saltstack/Ansible/Docker/OpenStack/OpenShift), on-site IT support for users in a second office and generally busy learning about evolving technologies and how they can be implemented to improve the business IT strategy. Contracting through Storgenix. I'm working with KPMG's IT Services division to maintain, upgrade, commission and decommission equipment within their fleet of UK datacentres. Recently, as of July 2015, I've been heavily involved in the Datacentre Relocation Project, where I've been working to build out our stunning new datacentre in London. Contracting through Storgenix.
