I am responsible for conducting research on parcels of interest throughout Santa Barbara county. This includes conducting site visits, collaborating with fellow researchers and archivists in the area, and combing the internet for the most minute details one could imagine. This position is ever-evolving depending on the parcel of interest, and has served to be incredibly enlightening for me since joining the team. Content Curator
-
Feb 2021 - Feb 2023
I researched, wrote, recorded, and produced content to be featured on-air and on our website. Along with this, I was responsible for helping curate a weekly segment on environmental affairs to educate our listeners on local, state, and national issues. Through engaging with fellow reporters and our community by researching current events, pitching stories, and creating infographics, I found an outlet to exercise my passion in educating others but from a unique perspective. I couldn't be more thankful for a platform of this nature and plan to continue my pursuit of making environmental media accessible and consumable regardless of the specifics of my career. Some of my favorite pieces I've created are linked below. Show less

English Language Coach & Teacher

Jul 2022 - Aug 2022
I worked with students from all around Japan online to improve their English skills through exploring our life missions, our daily lives, the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, and everything in-between. Through multi-day zoom calls, students are able to improve both their technical skills and their confidence. This was also my first real experience with teaching in a classroom setting, and I felt a very strong sense of fulfillment upon completing this particular position.
