May 2019 - Jun 2020
I was the first point of contact for researchers and patrons, and acted both as a registrant and as a docent for the rotating collections the Special Collections department houses. I also assisted the full-time librarian and archival staff by providing supportive research and data-entry on a variety of collections and curatorial projects. Workshop Leader for Introduction to Linguistics
-
Sep 2019 - May 2020
In addition to attending regular meetings with the linguistics professors to assist in the development of course materials, I led two weekly meetings of 10+ students aimed at fostering collaboration across peer groups and teaching practical skills in core linguistic disciplines. This was a semester based term position, and I was invited back for the Spring 2020 term after completing my first period in the Fall of 2019. While unexpected, working in this position during the start of the pandemic and subsequent transition to online courses provided me critical experience in integrating education technology, and adapting courses into an online format while supporting student success.
