I am a Strategic Learning Technology Consultant within Academic Technology (AT), a department with the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Division of Information Technology(DoIT). I currently devote 100% of my time to the Wisconsin School of Business where I am a Learning Designer within it's Educational Innovations team. I work on curriculum and course development as well as philanthropic efforts to help the School move forward on several strategic initiatives at the undergraduate and graduate level.I have served as the lead for AT’s consulting group where I provided guidance and oversight for the department’s consultants who, like me, offer pedagogical and technological support for and collaborate with faculty and instructional staff to address teaching and learning challenges on campus. I have served on the Executive Committee for the Community of Educational Technology Support (ComETS) -- a grassroots campus organization that works to improve teaching and learning on campus through networking, collaboration, sharing expertise and resources, leadership and engagement. I have worked with the University’s CIO as well as the Vice Provost of Teaching and Learning to identify goals for Campus IT Strategic Plan and develop implementation plans for moving them forward. From this work, I was nominated by the ComETS Executive Committee to serve on the CIO’s and Vice Provost of Teaching and Learning’s Campus eLearning Roadmap Group -- an advocacy group of instructional technology leaders on campus -- that articulates shared pedagogical challenges, creates partnerships across IT units, and identifies opportunities to share IT resources. I earned my Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UW-Madison. In the past five years, I have presented at thirteen regional and national conferences including Educause and ELI.
