Chumbaka is a social enterprise to develop children’s life skills through technology. Our technology-enrichment programmes are designed for preteens & teenagers to re-discover their passion for learning, complementing the formal education in schools. • Co-founded Chumbaka Cyberjaya, groomed to a core team of 5 as of date. • Trained, coached and guided 30 final-year universities students from UTeM, UniMAP & UMP under the Graduate Employability Management Scheme (GEMS 2.0) supported by TalentCorp, on “Design, Innovation, and Prototype using Open-Source Embedded Systems”. • Designed, developed, and delivered Maker education programme to 100 students in 5 high-needs schools in Klang Valley, to instill technology (coding, programming, electronics, mobile application design) skills, 21st Century self-learning ability, and character such as grit and tenacity. Secured a total funding of RM100,000 from YTL Foundation, and RM80,000 to execute the programme for a period of 2 years. The programme is now running sustainably as a co-curricular club in the schools, with minimal financial and technical support. • Coordinated with 3 public and private universities to host the annual Young Innovators Challenege for about 50 schools in the Klang Valley in year 2016-2018. In the process of organising, managed various stakeholders such as universities, ministry of education, schools, PIBG, and local communities & corporates (Cyberview, UEM, etc.) to ensure the success running of the competition.• Managed 2 Digital Maker Hub (DMH) under the MDEC’s #mydigitalmakermovement at Cyberjaya and Puchong to build an organic community-based education culture within the region. • Managed, developed, and delivered after-school programs at 27 schools including public, private, international and home schools.

TFM Fellowship is a 2-year leadership development program to carry out teaching responsibility in high-need school. During the 2 year experience, I teach Mathematics to 13 year-olds and History to 14 year-olds in one of the low-performing schools in the Klang/KL region. • Analysed the school’s deteriorating truancy rates, then planned and executed changes in daily routines for students, and successfully lowering month-on-month truancy rate by a minimum of 30%.• Founded, developed & executed Maker_Ed initiative to instill essential 21st century learning skills among 30 Form 1 & 2 students in high-need communities. The after-school project inculcates grit and love for learning among the students through learning programming, 3D printing, and embedded micro-processing systems.• Secured financial support of RM20,000 from UEM to run the year-long Maker_Ed initiative.• Was awarded The Innovative and Creative Teacher Advisor Award (Co-Curriculum) 2015.

3-month internship with the Division of Nuclear Installation Safety (NSNI), Department of Nuclear Safety and Security (NSS), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The division assists and supports Member States in developing and implementing the appropriate nuclear safety infrastructure. • Summarised and compared the nuclear regulatory frameworks adopted by countries with nuclear power, through analyses of the Country Reports for Convention on Nuclear Safety.• Established effective communications between 5 Departmental Divisions and Printing Company for the production of approximately 120 Outreach Materials for IAEA’s 56th General Conference.• Gained regulator-level knowledge of Deterministic Safety Assessment (DSA) and Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) through Jordan Workshop on the Fundamentals of DSA and PSA.• Got trained on and performed Nuclear Power Plant Walk-Down Fundamental Inspection on the regulator-, Technical-Support-Organisation (TSO) - and operation-personnel-level with basic knowledge of IAEA Safety Standards.

3-month research project under the supervision of Prof. Robin Grimes and Dr. Mark Wenman at the Centre for Nuclear Engineering. • Formulated and led atomistic modelling research on intermetallic NiZr2, under the supervision of Dr. Mark Wenman, by employing Hou Huai-Yu et al.’s embedded-atom-model (EAM) interatomic potential, with Molecular Dynamics Simulator LAMMPS.• Revealed and demonstrated the insufficiency of current Norget, Torrens and Robinson (NRT)’s Displacement-Per-Atom Evaluation Standard for complex crystals.• Advocated the need for revision of the Standards from the perspective of Statistical Mechanics.• Research findings concur with the results from a Post-Doctoral research at Nanochemistry Research Institute in Curtin University, Australia.
