CWM trusted me to build a custom publication division. Some of the largest business associations in BC trusted me to work with their membership. The membership, the business owners and managers trusted me to help them market their products/services. There are a lot of balls in the air: CWM technical team, the associations’ point of view, the memberships’ needs. Together we partnered in win-win outcomes: fabulous magazines, clients reaching their customers and a positive rate of return for the associations and for CWM. It was the wild west of internet days and I wanted to ride the wave. Sympatico was throwing money around. I caught some of it and was their General Manager for a while. The Buy and Sell had some of the highest internet traffic in BC. I was their internet specialist. I was talking to Canadian Tire and IBM. They were building out their website but not ready to push traffic yet. I went for higher ground. It was the wild west of internet days and I wanted to ride the wave.
