Few people have the opportunity to report to a manager who is also a coach and a mentor-but I did when I worked for Hannah. I had the pleasure to work under Hannah at Martin Horn during the beginning of my marketing career and there wasn't a day I didn't learn something new. I was always in awe of Hannah’s ability to command a room and get people on board with ideas-even people who were initially on completely different pages. Her ability to juggle multiple projects and remain organized was unlike any I’ve seen before and made a dramatic difference in the productivity level of our team. Any employee would be lucky to have Hannah as a manager.

Hannah is the current Young Leader Chair for ULI Virginia's Charlottesville satellite -a newly formed region for ULI Virginia. Hannah connects with people immediately and encourages participation and collaboration from everyone. Hannah has brilliant charisma and a personality that allows people to speak openly and to express their thoughts fully. She listens intently and only after hearing all the details does she offer an opinion. Hannah is an optimist and her positive attitude allows her to accomplish whatever task she sets for herself. Hannah is not daunted by unfamiliar situations and will thoughtfully explore options and solutions to solve a riddle. It has been Hannah's perseverance and finesse that has allowed ULI Virginia to become so successful in the Charlottesville market. I look forward to my continued involvement with this remarkable woman.

During my time as chair on the Young Leaders Group, I led a group of fellow young professionals to put on 4 events per year, roughly once per quarter, that provided educational value or networking opportunities for Virginia's A/E/C professionals. I was also one of the original 5 members of the group, who together started the The Jeffie Awards, an annual event since 2017, which awards the "Most Influential Project of the Year" (Categories: Commercial, Residential, Mixed-Use/Adaptive Reuse). I helped secure sponsors for the event, planned, scheduled and hosted the event, and facilitated the nomination and voting process. The Jeffies has become a widely known and anticipated event, drawing about 100 guests per year, as well as local media attention.

At Kay Jewelers, I was able to increase my knowledge of fine jewelry and learn many skills relating to sales and presentation of merchandise. While working on commission, it was essential that I was knowledgeable about the jewelry and was able to present the merchandise in an articulate manner.
