Policy & Information Officer - Early Stage Dementia Project

I was responsible for publishing and updating the suite of dementia focussed guides including the creation of four new guides focussing on housing, learning disability and scams as well updating ten more other publications. I also took a lead on project communications in particularly the social media pages where I doubled the projects Twitter followers, grew the audience of these posts and also increased digital downloads during my period in post. I created all the graphics used for these platforms as well as an in-house newsletter. As part of my role, I engaged with various stakeholders from other organisations both public, private and third sector and worked closely with those living with dementia.I traveled across Scotland to talk and present to various member groups.During the summer of 2018, I devised an activity and conducted focus groups made up of older people and people living with dementia on what matters in their community. Before leaving Age Scotland, I produced and drafted a report on this topic, a board game and a self audit for groups to use to become age and dementia friendly.

It was also my responsibility to follow up these issues through the use of Microsoft CRM and to chase up various stakeholders for a result.4. Campaign ManagementI was responsible for managing all local campaigns within the constituency including the production of petitions, leaflet designs and productions, fundraising, volunteer management and the heavy use of Social Media Campaigns.
