Have worked on three different services (Do-it, theSite.org and Lifetracks) as a Java/Grails developer. My role involved the development of new applications and maintaining or enhancing existing ones in production. Worked closely with Product Owners to assist them in shaping and validating the feasibility of new requirements. Actively participated in the recruitment and the coaching of new members of my team.In these years I have been practicing agile principles such as continuous integration and TDD. Mostly worked with Java, Groovy/Grails, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, JUnit, Maven, Git, Jenkins. Major achievement was the timely delivery of the new Do-it platform in November 2011.

As a Software Engineer I worked on various projects with different clients, mainly VISA and Sainsbury’s. Member of the technical architecture and the web team at VISA. Implemented various application components and an admin workflow-based application to setup and manage endpoints integrated with the Regional Clearing and Settlement system. Also produced detailed technical documentation to be used by the operations team. Used Java EE technologies, Struts, JSTL.My first assignment for Sainsbury’s new online store was to produce functional design documents for the product list, product details and product comparison pages working together with the digital design agency and the search engine vendor. Moved on to the technical design and finally development of the above areas of the service. Technologies used: Java, JSP, JSTL, XML, XSLT.
