  Located on nearly 1,200 scenic acres in Inland Southern California and distinguished by more than 60 years of high-impact research, UCR is a living laboratory for the exploration of issues critical to growing communities. One of the most diverse, inclusive institutions within the prestigious 10 campus University of California system, UCR serves as an incubator of new knowledge, an engine of social mobility, and an economic powerhouse. Currently home to approximately 23,000 students and 1,100 institutional faculty, the campus is rapidly expanding. To support the addition of hundreds of new faculty and students, the first of two Multidisciplinary Research Buildings is already under construction. New campus student housing, dining, retail, and recreational facilities will be added in the next few years.
