Tajuddin Munshi
When I joined my current company Emaratech one of my close colleague was working under Yevhen and I came to know about Yevhen from him. My friend had very high regards and respect for him as his manager and technical lead and would often speak highly of him about his technical abilities and the new initiative he is bringing to the company and how he is trying to transform his team to be up to date with the industry. Fortunately I too got the opportunity to work with him on one of the new initiative which included number of technologies like Elasticsearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, Docker, Kubernetes etc which were all new to the company and he was the main architect who provided the solution and was the driving force for the project. He was managing and highly involved in all aspects including installation, configuration, testing, tuning , fixing errors etc although there were dedicated resources working on them. I was looking into a major part of this project and so was working with him very closely. He was always ready to help whenever I approached him and would make it a point to check regularly by himself like how is the progress, if there is any bottleneck and would often sit late to fix any issue. I had learnt immensely both technically and professionally from him. He is very professional and focused on his work. Never a person to choose anger. Has the attitude towards continuous improvement and is always learning new things. He is clear about what he wants and has the capability to explain and make other understands his points and approach. A mentor to many who has continuously guided and trained those who had worked under him. Always willing to help others and very willing to work above and beyond the call of duty. He was a great asset to the company and to summarize he was like a captain of a ship who knew how to sail with his crew through good and difficult times alike.

I worked with Yevhen for over two years after he joined Emaratech and took up the lead for Vision project. I consider him to be someone who has the character and the skills to truly influence those around him and this statement comes out of my direct experience of having seen it first hand. It is not very often that we come across leaders who stand for their team no matter what and aren't afraid to challenge the status-quo for good and I feel our team was truly lucky because Yevhen was one such leader. His leadership ability was such that he always created a win-win situation for all parties involved, be it team members, project stakeholders or the management. Under his leadership and guidance, innovative software development methodologies like custom-automated deployments, application containerization, elastic search, micro-services were explored and implemented and I must mention nobody even thought about all of this before Yevhen took charge of the team. He constantly encouraged the team learn new things and the statement that learning is an unending process is true in his case, because if my memory serves me right, he has already gone half-way through machine learning and artificial intelligence, the future of technologies. Before Yevhen joined the team, I used to be a typical SQL developer who whacked at SQL queries and ETL jobs everyday and after two years, I see myself foraying into the world of data science and I have learnt technologies like Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, Java, dockeraization, etc and I am very close to becoming a full stack developer, thanks to Yevhen and his constant support for my leanings and introducing me to Big Data. Aside from all his technical and managerial prowess, Yevhen is a very pleasant and honest person to work with and I have never seen him losing his temper, a skill that most of us don't have. Overall, he transformed our team from a regular 9 to 5 team to a high-performing, innovative, energetic and most successful team in the company and I am sure that he will lead by example wherever he goes.
