Shaun is a vey charismatic leader; he is a great listener, the biggest motivator ever, extremely energetic and full of live and humor. When it comes to results, he will also be the first one in wanting to know. Results is what matters in the end. If I had a chance to go and work with or alongside Shaun in the future, I wouldn't wait for long. It is vital to have a "Key leader", and Shaun is by far a brilliant, human leader...

To writte a reccommendation about Shaun is for me the most pleasent thing to do, as he is an excellent team leader with extraordinary communications skills. He has always been direct and honest, very demanding when it comes to delivering results but also very supportive and available to any member of his team when required. He has always transmitted enthusiasm, passion and energy. We always felt very proud of his professional approach. I have learned a lot from him during these years and feel very thankful for it. I whish you all the best in your new professional direction.

Proud to be part of the team showing visitors around the impressive HQ facilities in Poole. Our tours include a visit to the Sea Survival Centre, the lifeboat simulator and the factory where the new all-weather Shannon class lifeboats are built. It's a fascinating insight into what the charity does on a day to day basis, saving thousands of lives in British waters every year. Come and visit us and help us keep everyone water safe! My role was lead project manager and interpreter for a WASH programme to install a gravity-fed drinking water system to Santa Cruz de Achuapa, a remote community in North West Nicaragua as part of Raleigh's commitment to youth development (from leadership to cross-cultural appreciation) through sustainable initiatives. 120 young people took part in the three month programme. The Raleigh project was supported by the local business partner: Cooperativa Juan Francisco Paz Silva (provider of fair-trade sesame seed oil to The Body Shop). Within the scope of Raleigh's International Citizen Service methodology, the end result was impressive: · The project had involved 1,200 man days · 10,206 metres of water pipes had been laid · 50 workers were involved on a daily basis · 3,910 kgs of cement were used · 23,460 kgs of sand had been collected to use with the cement · 46 households now have fresh drinking water · 430 people now have drinking water in their houses · 14,000 litres of drinking water are stored in four holding tanks for daily consumption · 84% of the community now have drinking water · 1 year - the time the project had been planned · 30 years - the time the community has been waiting for this project to be delivered And the project continues. Juan Francisco Paz Silva committed to the completion of this project with the local community in the final remote and isolated sector of the community called San José. Great to know that 100% of the community will have access to drinking water soon. Read the full story at www.shaunstraveladventures.com Show less
