      *** Acquired in June 2022 *** ------------------------------- Many people got (back) into video games during COVID lockdowns. I ended up obsessed with trading virtual in-game items in the video-game Rocket League. With an impromptu web search & 10 mins of keyword research, I found a sizeable market of people looking to buy these items directly (as opposed to trading with other players). Initially starting by creating listings on eBay for a handful of the most popular items, the market was strong and underserved. Over the course of a few months, I launched GamerItemSupply.com, automated operations (particularly dynamically updating pricing & re-stocking using web scraping & various APIs), expanded the product offering to every item in the game (over 10,000 items) & grew organic traffic to 2k sessions/month. Avg $53k/year turn-over and $23 gross profit/customer - with 0 marketing spend.
