It has been my great pleasure to work with Jennifer Lasater while we both served on the National Association of Colleges and Employers Board of Advisors. Jenn demonstrated her great skills, talents, and decisive leadership in the association, which led to her being slated for the Board of Directors, which is a very competitive process. Without a doubt, the selection committee made the right decision slate Jenn on the Board. Her thoughtful contributions and impactful leadership eventually let to her being slated as the President of NACE. She successfully led the association through the turbulent time of the pandemic and a change in the association's Executive Leadership role. Jenn's strategic and confident leadership provided the association with the reassurance that was needed with so many changes and challenges. Jenn also took the time to mentor others. It was my great fortune to be one of those mentees. Jenn's wisdom and advice is easily seen in her daily practice of her work. She is a leader with the highest ethics, commitment to equity and inclusion, an advocate for diversity, and an authentic person. Jenn has significantly impacted my life and helped me to shape my own leadership style, practices, and approaches.

I had the opportunity to serve with Jen Lasater on the NACE Board of Directors during her tenure on the Executive Committee. Her leadership was characterized by thoughtful decision-making and compassionate care for our 14,000+ membership. Jen's experience as NACE President encompassed navigating several external challenges that included a global pandemic, a nationwide reckoning with racial injustice, and recruiting a new executive director for the association that would oversee the organization's daily operations. Jen addressed these challenges with a level of courage, diligence, and hopefulness that inspired fellow board members and NACE staff. She collaborated with NACE leaders in establishing an anti-racism commitment that engendered support for historically marginalized communities. She partnered with NACE staff in devising an innovative virtual program strategy that strengthened community and professional practice amongst NACE membership. Further, she participated in the hiring of a new executive director who has been able to build upon his predecessor's successes. Jen’s initiative and resolve made our association stronger and her contributions left a lasting impact that can be felt to date. I would highly recommend Jen for any leadership role without reservation as she has proven to be a positive force for meaningful change.
