Simon joined Linklaters LLP in 1994, becoming Director of ISS in 2001. Simon developed Linklaters’ information systems technology, organisation and governance strategy, leading to the true globalisation of IT services across the firm. Simon has been responsible for and managed a number of major technology initiatives. These include:• the development of Linklaters’ E-commerce legal service offerings: including Blue Flag Advisory, and Clients@Linklaters• formulating the strategy for and leading the implementation of a global thin client IT infrastructure for the firm.• consolidation of the firm’s global IT infrastructure within three data centres.• the successful deployment of fully integrated systems following a number of significant international mergers and joint ventures.Between 2001 and 2003 Simon led a global/firm-wide implementation of SAP (‘Programme Armstrong’) encompassing finance, practice management, client relationship management and human resources.
