Validation Specialist (internship)

In Pfizer of Venezuela, I was in charge of leading the Validation of Installation (IQ), Operation (OQ), and Performance (PQ) of general services required for production processes, focusing on Purified Water and Water for Injectable production systems, being these the most critical raw materials for drugs and food manufacturing process. As part of the staff of Pfizer collaborators, I could reach some crucial goals adding aggregated value to Validation and Engineering departments, such as: - Implementation of an automated chlorine dosing system installed in the crude water tank, improving the pre-treatment process, and maximizing the lifetime of subsequent filtration equipment. Moreover, the microbiological test applied to water resulted better than the previous configuration. - Changes in the equipment maintenance frequency after evaluating the previous results, obtaining better performance, and reducing costs associated with repairs (corrective maintenance). - Increase of sampling frequency in critical points of water production system closing the parameters within the control limits, using Minitab 15 to generate patrons and evaluate ranges and Six Sigma methodology. - Implementation of Lean Manufacturing methodology in productive processes and procedures. - Participation in the creation of a containment plan for penicillin products and the application to avoid cross-contamination.
