  Worked directly under the BT Security CTO in the BT CAL (Cyber Assessment Lab). The CAL is a security consultancy division that keeps customers well-informed on the evolution of security technologies and trends. This is achieved by evaluating different vendor products on their security capabilities to assess how well they match customer requirements. The evaluation output varies from hands-on technical testing to paper-based research. This enables both internal and external customers to select the best capability for their corporate portfolio and protection. Some projects covered in the last 12 months include: Antivirus Security, EDR, eKYC, DLP, Hub Security, Mobile Security, Passwordless Authentication, Social Engineering, Vulnerability and Threat Management, IAM (Identity Access Management), PAM (Privileged Access Management), etc.Responsibilities:• Defining and creating methodologies for paper-based evaluations and hands-on testing.• Producing reports and presenting results to influence key stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.• Delivering monthly technical evaluations and managing their successful delivery, including the necessary vendor engagement.• Being a Subject Matter Expert on emerging technology and vendor landscape.• Managing a team of security analysts and providing mentorship.• Training and guiding other security departments to help them achieve a CAL-style output.• Following best cyber security framework practices (e.g. NCSC, NIST, etc.)
