I was fortunate enough to work with Matt in some form or fashion going back to 2005 when I was a digital media producer at WJZ-TV and he was a member of the CBS digital national team -- communicating over AOL Instant Messenger back then. I can still remember how helpful and resourceful he was all those years back -- it's a quality that always stood out among his most outstanding. After coming to New York, I was able to work in person with Matt for much of my career. He was an asset to our operations team in his exemplary ability to manage multiple teams, tasks, personalities, and timelines. It's a testament to his organizational skills and attention to every detail. When the position to oversee CBSNewYork became available, Matt was a no-brainer. It was a seamless transition and the most appropriate for our flagship site. There's no question Matt's value as a leader on an operations team will pay dividends for any company.

Matt is the proverbial "news junkie" with an acumen of a true professional. Having worked closely with Matt over almost 4 years, I can say that he is one of the most dedicated professionals I've had the experience to work alongside. Matt truly encompassed the "Always On" initiative and drove content across a network of station websites including concepting out new ideas to make the best back-end and front-end user experiences possible. In Matt's night job, he is a proficient Photoshop guru and upcoming Flash tinkerer who helped many a station in need with his creative flair. All in all, Matt is a great person and trustworthy colleague that I would look forward to working with again in the future.
