Autonomous Drive - Sensor platform focus - Perception Focus on: - Sensor Fusion and the resulting Perception of the surrounding environment based on fusion of data from the vehicles sensor platform. Main focus was on Autonomous Drive (AD) vehicles. - Functional safety (SOTIF - ISO/PAS 21448), mainly for AD - Case studies and boundary calculations related to safety work and sensor performance requirements. My main responsibilities were to: - Support my team and other areas (function and platform) in work related to case studies, sensor fusion/perception analysis and evaluation and SOTIF-work - Aid in development of the KPI generation framework that uses sensor logs from AD vehicles and generates KPIs automatically based on, in our case, perception-related criteria and requirements. In extension also assure that the developed tool meets the requirements and needs of the team and sensor fusion/perception related work. - Develop KPIs for Team Sense with focus on Sensor Fusion and Perception. - Support Ultrasonic sensor platform in safety related work (mainly SOTIF) both internally and externally towards the supplier. Activities Performed During my time on the assignment, I have: - Extrapolated on existing work and developed a braking distance app in Matlab with a GUI to increase usability, expanded functionality and enabled faster and easier use to explore different braking scenarios and pinpoint the available reaction time in each case. Both for specific brake profiles and for concatenated variable profiles. - Aided in software development of KPI-generating tool for automated analysis of AD-vehicles data logs. - Set up KPI structure and automatic code documentation for further development. - Supporting cross-functional AD-related SOTIF work across different areas in the company. - Supporting on supplier related questions and reaching agreements.
