Performed drift calculations in support of a 24-month surveillance interval project for a southeastern nuclear utility. These calculations are highly specialized, requiring formal training which I received at Hurst. The calculations are on a component basis and are performed for instruments that are used to comply with requirements of nuclear plant Technical Specifications. Calibration data (for a specific manufacturer / model component) from the previous 10 years is evaluated and statistically analyzed, using Microsoft Excel Analysis Tool Pack, to develop a defensible drift specification to be used in instrument uncertainty calculations to support a fuel cycle extension from 18 months to 24 months.
