Tammy assisted us with a major ERP system implementation. She grasps concepts quickly and not only fully understood her technical side of the project, but very quickly learned the business aspects and accordingly helped us develop superior solutions. Her solutions were delivered on time and on budget.

Acumen Group initially asked me to come back to the team as an Independent Contractor to help push some critical projects through to completion. When that was completed, I was asked to come back in a part-time capacity. I am honored to have been asked back, and am putting my all to ensure that the necessary solutions are developed with the highest standards. As we migrate to a web-based solution, I continue to develop new skill and enjoy the creativity that comes with expanding my current skill set. Show less

I am part of a two-person team developing and maintaining a system for the management of Bright Smile Center's staffing, students, payables, and receivables. The system is built with a SQL Server backend and an Access front-end interface. I am currently involved in developing innovative solutions to speed up entry of invoices and other receivables, as well as ensure that the receivables and payables reconcile properly. Acumen Group is licensed reseller for software solutions designed by Infor Group, Inc. for the manufacturing/wholesale distribution industry. At Acumen, we sold the software package to distribution companies, and custom-modified each package for that specific client. Code was written in Progress 4GL, using a relational Progress database. My responsibilities included: Directly interfaced with clients to lay out specifications and produce modifications to SX.e, an Infor product for distributors. Used Infor tools together with Progress 4GL. Instrumental in helping clients solve real business problems Assisted in the layout of a pilot Dashboard program, giving the graphical interface a fresher and more user-friendly look, with the goal of increasing sales Built up a reputation for having done the most thorough research in the most complex section of the system, the order entry section. Teamed with other programmers to help solve problems with their code in order entry, cutting down many hours of tedious research for those programmers, resulting in excellent value billing for the entire company. Demonstrated an aptitude for writing technical manuals. Wrote close to 200 user manuals, including approximately 10 extensive manuals, in 5 years. Primary source for technical documentation in the company. Formulated a highly efficient system of researching existing code in a reusable manner. Future related projects were coded in much less time, using existing documented research Custom-designed and brainstormed for many in-house projects that were resalable to multiple clients. Designed a custom-pricing modification for a client, which was previously handled by the owner of the company. New modification allows all order entry personnel to have access to the custom pricing (which occurs quite often), cutting down on a middleman and a lot of excess time involved with custom orders Show less
