Initiated research project for development of quorum sensing system in E. coli and its implementation to help investigate putative genes with related function in cyanobacteria (involved 2 undergraduate students). Designed protocol to engineer E. coli by in vivo cloning, analyze genetic circuits by PCR and DNA sequencing, measure protein expression through fluorescence spectroscopy.
