I worked with Sophie for nearly a decade and it was an absolute pleasure to work with her for so long. Sophie worked her way up from an entry-level role through to senior management in a few short years, demonstrating her exceptional capabilities. Sophie is extremely committed to her work and her colleagues and this shows in everything she does. She can take a big, complex project or piece of work, quickly understand it, create a comprehensive plan and engage and support colleagues in delivering the work to deadlines. Sophie has fantastic people skills; she is a great listener, very compassionate and does everything she can to support colleagues; whether she manages them directly or not. Sophie’s management style is very engaging, personable, consultative and with an open-door; I felt like I could go to her with anything at any time, whether it be for advice on a piece of work, to discuss sensitive issues or agree a joint approach on a project. She was a great mentor and helped my professional development by providing honest and constructive feedback. Sophie is a very good manager; she consults and seeks mutual agreement wherever possible, sets clear and achievable expectations and provides a lot of support, which enables her staff to do their best work. Sophie is one of the most passionate people I have worked with and her enthusiasm is infectious; I always felt more motivated after meetings with her. I wanted to do my best for her and not let her down when she had trusted me with an important piece of work. Sophie is also incredibly creative, frequently coming up with new ideas and she is always looking to improve ways of working, processes and projects. During my time working with her, I considered Sophie to be a cornerstone of the organisation and an incredible asset to the team. It was an absolute pleasure working with her and I whole-heartedly recommend Sophie.

I had the pleasure of working with Sophie whilst working at Ahead Partnership for over 2 and a half years. Sophie was a delight to work with as she helped my career progress with lots of learning and development opportunities. Sophie’s management style is very engaging with formal and informal one to ones, where she has been an amazing listener and mentor. Sophie has fantastic people skills, utilising all her experience and knowledge to help and support all staff members. Sophie is incredibly kind, non judgemental, hard working, has great communication skills, she is very committed and passionate about everything she does. Sophie genuinely cares for the people she works with and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with her. I have no hesitation in recommending Sophie and wish her well in her future career.
