Tutoring is so much more than simply helping a student with their homework. I have learned that being an outstanding tutor is synonymous with being a mentor. Tutors take on a responsibility in helping students enjoy their education. In doing so, a great deal of empathy is necessary to provide appropriate guidance. I find such joy when a parent tells me how their child looks up to me as a role model. So, I know a few, young people think I am cool. I have learned that being an outstanding tutor is synonymous with being a mentor. Tutors take on a responsibility in helping students enjoy their education. In doing so, a great deal of empathy is necessary to provide appropriate guidance. I find such joy when a parent tells me how their child looks up to me as a role model. So, I know a few, young people think I am cool. I am privileged to be in a position where I have the ability to improve the educational outcomes of children. I have outlined some of my key responsibilities as a tutor below. • Assisting students in developing their academic ability with proven grade increases • Fostering the construction of strong study habits within students • Developing thorough and tailored lesson plans for clientele • Supervising groups of students Show less Tutoring is so much more than simply helping a student with their homework. Ensuring that Radio Lollipop can interact meaningfully with all children of differing ages and abilities is what my role as Play Co-ordinator involves. Doing this includes a range of tasks. To make our volunteers' lives easier I reorganised our play cupboards which made activities and crafts easy to access. I also sourced and purchased a range of games and restocked craft supplies to expand our options for play. I lead the implementation of a badge maker which enables children to turn their… Show more Ensuring that Radio Lollipop can interact meaningfully with all children of differing ages and abilities is what my role as Play Co-ordinator involves. Co-ordinating play at Radio Lollipop becomes extremely rewarding when I see my effort turn into a meaningful interaction with a child.
