Bio
James Wilcox
In my entire time at Hanover (or at any other company I have worked with), I have never met another individual who reaches out to get to know every single new person that they come across—and especially in a company that is more than 350 strong. However, not only does Mike likely know your name, he probably could tell you about your family, your dog, and perhaps maybe even a little bit about your odd neighbor down the street. Mike is not only the first to congratulate you when you get a big promotion, but he is also there to empathize with you when you did not. He is extremely emotionally intelligent and insightful. Mike exemplifies a spirit of community and exudes citizenship, unlike any other employee I have ever seen.
Joshua Zieve
Mike was the manager of my small team and/or my personal manager for the first two years of my time at Hanover Research, and I'm eternally grateful that he was. Not only was Mike an exemplary manager (e.g., communicative, organized, made himself available if/when analysts needed him), but he truly "had our backs." Indeed, he did more than was typical/required and actively sought out meaningful opportunities for analysts (e.g., coveted projects that align with analysts' career aspirations). I cannot overemphasize that this was over and above the call of duty. Truthfully, I probably would not have stayed at Hanover as long as I did if it weren't for having Mike as my manager.
