I was working on my PhD thesis in the RBG, which Guido Rößling managed at that time. Within the RBG he supported the side by side work of research assistants and technical staff. He brought a lot of good to the RBG, whether from the perspective of students or from the perspective of the institutes. Together we published a lot of papers. He was always quite creative and had good ideas regarding content and wording. I consider him to be reliable and companionable. I can fully recommend Guido Rößling.

Over the last decade, I have worked with Guido on many research articles, working group reports, and software development efforts. In all cases his contributions to the project have been extraordinary. He is a tireless worker and very dedicated to all aspects of computer science education, both from a teaching and research perspective.

During this time, I was preparing my PhD on algorithm animation and holding courses in computer graphics and undergraduate CS education (CS 1 & CS 2). I also had a contract to hold courses for the new international students (CS 1, in English).
