As the Logistics Officer of National Vertical Marathon 2016, I worked with my colleagues Yang Yi Tew and Bernie Tay Wee Yuan to plan for the logistics requirements of the event, as well as source for vendors and suppliers to meet these requirements whilst working within a budget. We were also in charge of the transportation of goods and personnel between our logistics store and the event ground which catered to 2,730 participants. Despite several hiccups that arose due to unforeseen circumstances, we managed to overcome them together with the help of the event committee in order to achieve a successful event. I learned a lot about working within a planning cell, working within deadlines and budget constraints as well as coordinating details.

My military service has taught me self-confidence as well as leadership and inter-personal skills that I did not possess prior to my time in National Service.
