  I first started working for the independent record label Scepterstein Records owned by Hubert Laws in 1998, at a time when physical record stores still existed all across the nation. This experience helped create the foundation for my growth and understanding of the business side of music. I had the privilege of participating in everything from working directly with our distributor and the team to make our music available in the stores, implementing in-store performances, securing copyrights, assisting with regional and national promotional radio campaigns to support the musical project, strategize with our marketing team for artist exposure opportunities, and yes, even sell CDs at the shows.
