Brian did some great styled studio product-shots for us. He is so easy to work with and takes art direction well. He is full of ideas for achieving what we want in a photograph. He has a brilliant eye for composition and style. We are always pleased with Brian's photography.

BPD Studios was established in 2008 in Salt Lake City Utah and are currently located in our studio in Rio Grande in Salt lake City. The studio's focus has always been on product, Product focused lifestyle, advertising, or products on white for e-commerce. Over the years we have developed a discipline of brand refinement/creative direction, graphic design, photography education along side our photo consulting for manufacturers with the need to establish their own on-site studios. The industry is ever changing and we welcome change, but we also know that good photography, Teamwork, and collaboration are the ingredients for a successful studio. My values running this studio have always relied on accuracy and attention to detail while being able to deliver under pressure in many different situations. To achieve great work you also need gear that can produce what you dream up. I only own gear that is the best and works within the style I wish to achieve. Never buying gear based on fads or one size fits all. We run PhaseOne camera systems in the studio for product photography and Leica gear for lifestyle and other situations. I have used Capture One Pro since it was first released. Show less

Ramblin Co is a Printed Journal to relay the story of true freedom of craftsmanship and creativity. The tangible, the assault fabrication of ideas and true accountability of which we create, brand and define livelihoods. The ability of one to truly barter his or her skills for a living has been lost by a lifetime of exploited generations and coroprate copycats. Artists and makers are as fabricated as the dream. Those that truly believe in the soil and the fruit will find shelter among these visual and written poems. We are what is and never what can be. Peace, Love, Ramble on. Show less

I was hired on at American Color graphics in July 2006. American color at the time had over 15 studios across the country. I was sent to Bluffdale utah to handle a publishing client that was not happy with the quality and time management the current studio was offering. In about 3 months I had the studio running smoothly.. We went from producing 15k finished images a year to almost 60k, with my staff of 3 photographers, stylist, and imaging professional. I trained my staff to shoot with minimal post work along with bridging the gap on quality that the client was used to seeing with their previous photographers. Even after leaving American Color in 2009 when they closed down due to a merge, I still serviced that client for another 5 successful years. Show less

I worked as an unpaid Intern for one of the most talented advertising photographers in the industry. I developed my skills in the studio studio and was able to grow as a large set photographer and digital artist. Experience with client relations on a daily basis, and delegation needed to be successful in the highly competitive photography industry. When I was a senior in College I wanted to do something epic and maybe even learn a little along the way. Japan is a country that hasn't really heard of internships. So being green and wet behind the ears, why not take a chance and see if I could get one for the summer of 2001. With in a week I got a call from Pentax, and the needed an english speaking person to help with some photographers they were promoting in their Gallery in Tokyo, Japan. Besides all the Saki i drank, I got to meet and explore photography with some of the engineers that developed the tools we photographer use on a daily basis. Show less
